MCP and AI

Connect an AI app

On this page

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI and other apps that speak MCP connect to Bizisy by signing in: paste your company's Bizisy address into the app, sign in, check what it may do and press Allow.

Connect your AI app has the exact steps for each app. Signed in to Bizisy, Connect AI (or Settings → Connected apps in Manage) shows your address ready to copy, with one-click install links for Cursor and VS Code.

The address#

AddressThe app gets
https://<company>.bizisy.com/mcp/manageHR Assistant: what your role allows in Manage. For owners, admins, HR and viewers.
https://<company>.bizisy.com/mcp/meMy Workplace: your own details, the directory and the org chart. For everyone.

<company> is the name in the address you sign in at.

With an API key#

For an app that can't sign in, or your own agent, use an API key as a header:

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "bizisy": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://api.bizisy.com/mcp/manage",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${BIZISY_API_KEY}" }
    }
  }
}

The exact configuration format depends on the app; the parts are always the URL and the Authorization header. Use a Manage key with /mcp/manage and a Me key with /mcp/me.

Your own agent#

Any MCP client library works. For example, with the TypeScript SDK:

TypeScript
import { Client } from '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/client/index.js';
import { StreamableHTTPClientTransport } from '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/client/streamableHttp.js';

const client = new Client({ name: 'my-agent', version: '1.0.0' });
await client.connect(new StreamableHTTPClientTransport(new URL('https://api.bizisy.com/mcp/manage'), {
  requestInit: { headers: { Authorization: `Bearer ${process.env.BIZISY_API_KEY}` } },
}));

const { tools } = await client.listTools();
const preview = await client.callTool({ name: 'org_units_create', arguments: { name: 'Platform', kind: 'team', dry_run: true } });
console.log(tools.length, preview.structuredContent);

Disconnecting#

Disconnect an app at any time in Connect AI, or Settings → Connected apps in Manage, where owners and admins see every app connected in the company. An app also disconnects by itself after 30 days without use, and when its person's access is turned off.
