Changelog
Changelog
What changed in the Bizisy API, the MCP servers and webhooks, newest first. Changes are additive: new actions, new optional fields and new output fields. Dates are when a change shipped.
6 October 2026#
Behaviour change: the team lead is the default manager. When you add someone with org.people.hire or org.people.rehire, move someone into another team with org.people.change_job (unit_id), or import people with org.people.import_csv or org.setup.apply, and you don't give a manager, the lead of that team becomes their manager. The result's manager_default (or team_lead_managers for imports) says so, and webhooks carry manager_source: "team_lead" and manager_lead_unit_id. Before, the manager stayed as it was (or empty). To keep the old behaviour, say who the manager is: send manager_id (the current manager to keep it, or null for none) with hire, rehire and change_job; send manager_email (or null) with org.setup.apply; in a CSV, fill the manager_email column or write none. Corrections (org.people.correct_job) are unchanged. See The team lead as default manager.
Approvals: the team lead decides for someone with no manager. When approval mode is manager or manager_then_hr and the person has no manager (or their manager has left), the lead of their team, or of a team above, decides the manager step before HR. Approval steps carry team_lead (the unit and why), and team_lead_blocked or untrusted when HR decides that step instead. See Who decides.
Notifications. Optional notices (daily reminders and checklist tasks, approval requests, documents people add) always reach the recipient's in-app inbox: platform.notifications.list, platform.notifications.mark_read and platform.notifications.mark_all_read. Owners and admins choose which are also emailed and set a monthly limit on extra emails with platform.notifications.settings.get and platform.notifications.settings.update; platform.billing.get returns email.
No card needed. platform.billing.get returns collection (card or invoice), open_invoices, overdue, pause and details_due_on, and the statuses needs_details and paused. New platform.billing.pay (web app only). platform.whoami returns paused. A company paused for an unpaid invoice refuses API keys and connected apps with forbidden and details.reason: "org_paused" (Errors).
Also: org.units.set_head sets the team lead (the field is still head); unit.updated is sent when a unit gets a new team lead.

Webhooks. Add HTTPS endpoints in Settings → Webhooks and receive signed events for people, structure, members, open positions, approvals, checklists and documents. Standard Webhooks signatures, retries for about a day, automatic turn-off of failing endpoints and a 30-day delivery log. Actions: webhooks.events.list, webhooks.endpoints.* and webhooks.deliveries.*.
AI apps connect by signing in. The MCP servers on each company address accept OAuth (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, client ID metadata documents and dynamic client registration). Connected apps are listed and revoked with platform.connections.list and platform.connections.revoke. New skill skill://platform/first-session; platform.ai.onboarding.status.
Documents. Company and person documents with signed uploads and downloads: documents.*, a person's own documents (documents.me.*), and custom fields of type file (File fields). Storage use and limits: platform.storage.get.
Approvals. Companies can require approval for job changes, terminations and pay. org.people.change_job and org.people.terminate return approval; new org.approvals.* actions. See Approvals.
Open positions. The headcount plan: org.positions.*; org.people.hire takes position_id to fill one.
Checklists. Onboarding, offboarding and custom checklists that start on a hire, a termination or by hand: org.checklists.*.
Also: org.chart.export (the org chart as a list or CSV); org.units.set_head; a person's and the company's language (platform.language.set_mine, platform.language.set_company); profile photos and the company logo (org.people.photo.upload, platform.appearance.logo.upload); org.home.summary and reminder settings; company account status (platform.org.status); org.chart.get returns next_change; org.people.import_csv imports contract terms, legal entity and custom fields.

Activity and links. platform.activity.list and platform.activity.get; MCP results carry view_url and links back into Bizisy; Activity entries carry subject_ids and filter by subject_id.
People data. Contract terms, payroll identifiers, custom fields, pay, the people CSV export, personal-data exports (org.people.export_data, org.me.export_data) and the headcount report. org.people.list filters by unit, location, legal entity, manager and joined or left dates.
